We just changed venue and feel a little bit for D’s second set of images I’m sharing.

I don’t even know where to begin writing about this couple and their wedding. I didn’t get to meet Mandi and Jeff ahead of time, but I did check them out on-line. I knew from my snooping that Mandi had style, but didn’t know that I was going to meet one of the cutest, most fun couples around. What an amazing day with plenty of time for portraits, relaxation and fun.
Thank you so much for selecting us to photograph your wedding. We had a fabulous time working with you.

Mandi and her girls got together at The Old Courthouse Museum for the getting ready. The room there were in had wonderful architecture and light as well as the atmosphere they created.

This was one of the best getaway cars I’ve seen. The car is Mandi’s dad’s. He purchased it new and it is all original. The houndstooth interior was amazing.

Details to bring it all together.

Getting ready.

Seeing his bride for the first time. One happy handsome groom.

The Old Courthouse Museum is a wonderful location with nooks and crannies all over that are great for photography.

Mandi has so much style and it showed throughout the wedding. Here I love the flower as a little touch in her hair.

I remember Jeff looking over my shoulder as I took this image. He commented about the image before he even saw it. While, not because I’m that good, but because Mandi is that beautiful and Jeff knows it.

Look at Jeff. Don’t you just love him. He was sweet – and o so funny. We had a great time during portraits with them both. And of course we all know I LOVE LOVE LOVE birdcage veils.

Such an emotional handoff. Gosh Mandi’s dad was so great!

One of my favorite images of the year. I wasn’t sure about the candlelight exit. I knew it would be beautiful for them, but didn’t know if I’d be able to focus with it that dark out. But my trusting skills and camera came through for this and a few more from the exit.

A bride and a wall.

Some reception details.

For this session we went underground. Literally. Sultry, steamy and totally hot!
Enjoy.

I love headpieces! They are so fun and come in so many styles. I love them for intimates and I love them for weddings. My favorites are from Castle Bride Couture. Here are a couple of pieces we used to help complete the look we wanted for a our vintage set. We were thinking big hair and Angelique did a great job of pulling it all together for us. And Alissa has a lot of hair so this was no small feat.

We started with her hair down.

Then brought it up and added the first piece.

Then spiced it up with another piece. This would be great to do from a wedding ceremony to reception switch. You can we we also switched up the dresses a bit too.

I picked up this parasol. Because details are everything. What a great photography prop it made.

A detail of the eyes. Angelique does such an amazing job of blending the colors.

With shabby chic being all the rage we played off of the idea. Envision Wedding Studio did a great job of making it different and hence I give you Vintage Couture. For the venue we selected The Museum of Visual Materials. It is a restored building the is LEED green certified and more character than you can imagine. I love the natural light and open coziness of this venue. It is one of my favorites!

Who needs matching chairs? Not a vintage inspired theme that’s for sure. The different chairs create a more interesting set-up I enjoyed the different colors and textures.

For the table top Envision Wedding Studio found some amazing random old pieces. The jar of buttons- hello so fun!

Each place setting was different. I could just imagine gathering these are random garage sales of the course of planning. How cool they were to see it come together and not be perfectly the same.

Peach and browns adorned the invitations created by Envision Wedding Studio.

Shall we add a bride? I think we should. We had Alissa change into a different dress for this reception theme. It was much lighter and I can just imagine a bride doing this on their wedding day. That way it’s easier to dance and move around the reception site. No knocking people over with your skirt and train while being weighed down.

More coming tomorrow on the hair pieces and make-up of our lovely bride.
