5 full years with my hubby
Yesterday was 5 full and wonderful years with my hubby. We celebrate 2 anniversaries every year. This one is the day we were actually married. We had the wedding in May.
Five years ago I was a graduate teaching assistant at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. Andy came down for a visit. We had been engaged since Feb that year. We thought it would be a good idea to legally get married ahead of time since we were both in the military and Sept. 11 had just happened. I kept going back and forth on what to do. Well on Oct. 5 when I woke up I said ok, let's do it. So we went down to the courthouse and were married. With one witness, one of my ball players. It was raining and great. Later, that day the team had a game and they introduced me as Cory Ann Ellis. It was weird to hear.
We didn't tell the family. It think their still mad about that. We still wanted all the emotions and such on the wedding day. That was to be the day we shared with them. O well stuff happens. So anyway we went out. It was great we ate at Spezias, had drinks and played darts at McNally's and stayed at the Club House Inn.
I love you Andy- Here's to a whole lot more!

What?! No picture?? I demand a picture, preferably one from your wedding!
I actually set out yesterday to post the single image of us together on that day. And you know what, I couldn't find it. There is only one. I had my old Nikon D80 on a tripod and took the image. I can see it in my mind, but just couldn't find. Next week I'll try to find the neg and get it reprinted or something. I did find one from the first day we met though. It was funny looking through the images.
hey- it's about time you got a profile!
CA (from Rapid City relaxing before a wedding with out my assistants you all suck!)
Congrats on your 5-year anniversary! Liz and I just celebrated our 5th 6-day anniversary. Ha!
I'd like to think that Spezia's is your favorite place because of Liz and I. Did you have any tiramasu? Once again, congrats.
Thank you Evan. Actually you and Elizabeth can take credit for most of the evening. I had been to Spezia's once prior, but you got me to remember that. And when Elizabeth showed up to the ceremony in the limo I just had to do some research of my own into the Club House Inn. I loved the idea of using that for transportation. I did think of you guys while we were out having fun.
And of course I had some tiramasu, my all time favorite desert.
