Abstract Art: Part 2
See I didn't forget, just been too busy to shoot anything personal. Maybe we'll do more of these over the slow months - when are those again?

What you can win:

a hairdryer
Is it a Cell Phone?
a handheld vacuum
flashlight?
A side view of an exit sign in a hotel hallway in the middle of the night.
Kelly
All good guesses, but none are correct.
CA
a light from the fridge?
Creative guess little sis, but no.
Is it the light from another room coming through a cracked door on the ceiling. (not sure if that makes sense)
Chelsea,
That makes sense, but no. You know you all can guess more than once. Actually as many times as you like.
CA
A tall light at the airport parking lot?
Kelly
No Kelly, sorry.
CA
An open laptop with a light attached to the top of the screen?
Did I mention that puzzles/riddles drive me cRaZy until I know the answer?!?!!? :) LOL
Kelly
Kelly,
You are too funny! At least I know people are still guessing. Gosh I may need to start leaving clues or something. I held off on posting this one cause I thought someone would get it right away. I'm so glad it's hard. No, not a laptop.
CA
A 'nite-lite' on a toilet seat?!?
Kelly
No Kelly,
And here is the first clue. This is not something that is in a home.
CA
projector at a movie theather?
road sign with a light above?
More creative guesses. But none are correct.
CA
car headlight?
Just so you know - I spent the day shopping with my husband and son. . . and all day I looked for 'clues' to this puzzle!! :)
This is a good one!
Kelly
An orange traffic cone with car lights behind it.
No those are incorrect.
Kelly I would have been doing the same thing. I love puzzles, like the horse and ring ones.
CA
An exhaust pipe
So I'm heading out for a few hours with my SIL. . . and before I can even get up and get a shower to get ready - I have to stop by here and see if anyone has guessed this yet! And to my delight/frustration :) it's still an open game!
Is it the flame end of a welder?
Kelly
a clip on book light?
Kelly
No, no and no. But I do want one of those little book lights for when I read at night. I have got to get me one.
CA
It looks like the bow of a boat in fog with running lights and a spot, but I don't see the green one and it would be on the other side anyway.
I think it's a spillway at a hatchery or dam at night and a flood light.
light on a keychain ?
some type of laser pointer?
I'm loving all the guesses but still none are correct.
Hint #2: This is not something you can carry- you could not even move it with a dolly.
CA
I was going to guess that it was a light house. . . but I thought light house beams pointed more to the water than the sky. . . but I'm gonna guess it anyway. . .
Is it a light house ?
No Kelly it is not a lighthouse.
CA
Ooooh! It's the wing of an aircraft! Though it has what looks like flaps, they're usually on the trailing edge, not the leading one so is that a landing light or a search light
Either that or a vertical stabilizer...
It is the wing of an aircraft. The tip with the light. The white stream of light is the jet stream coming off. I took it through the window on the aircraft on my way to Texas for the Anti-workshop.
Ok idiot you win. So do you have a real name?
CA
Dang it - someone mucked up my google account so I show up as "idiot" now - It's Chris from WA, who didn't make it to the Anti workshop : )
I've stared at enough wings and vertical stabilzers that it just took me a minute - that and the photo of my dad leaning on the wing of his Temco Swift sort of gave it away - very, very cool photo!
I think my account is fixed - sheesh. See what happens when people mess around on your computer?
Chris you need to change that. I was sitting here thinking who is this idiot with a name like idiot. So I'm going to assume your going to want a print then. You can choice any others you've seen of odd things if you want. Since you probably have so many of everything anyway.
Funny I should use an image from the anti-workshop when you couldn't go. Maybe I'll see you in May
CA
Kelly,
Are you sitting there happy or pouting?
CA
That's much better Chris-
You know you guys are making me feel good knowing other photogs read my blog. Maybe I'll have to show more behind the scenes and such too.
CA
Yeah. . . I'm mad at idiot for winning! :) LOL KIDDING!! I'm just glad to know the answer! Now, don't get me wrong - I'd be much happier if I'd have guessed it - I love to win. . . but I'm okay when I don't, too.
I want to see the full pic - I can't 'get it' in my head.
Patiently waiting for the next one.
Kelly
Kelly,
I've been around aircraft most of my life so I had a bit of an advantage. If it helps, I thought it was an electric stapler at first with light coming in from under a door. It was the diagonal line that kept driving me batty - then I looked at the photo of my dad and his plane and if snapped into place. you'll get the next one : )
I love the abstract photo concept - do I get killed if I steal the idea from you? I know we're real close competition and all...
Chris -
My husband had told me it was the wing of an airplane - but I thought he was nuts and I wouldn't guess that. Hhhmm... guess I should have signed in as 'idiot' this time, huh?!? :) LOL
I'm glad you won - at least I know what it is now!! But be warned. . . I WILL listen to my husband next time :) I just can't tell HIM that! :) LOL
For a long time I've been doing "spot the difference" pics for my son. He loves those (and I do to!) I'm thinking I may start posting those on my blog. I'm thinking this would be cool puzzle to do for clients, too. Maybe we could get one photographer in every state to do one! :) I'm in AR so would I get 'killed' if I steal your stolen idea?? :)
Kelly
Kelly,
The hubands are correct every once in a while you know. This is actually the full image. It isn't cropped. I'll try to make it bigger at some point.
Chris & Kelly,
I don't know you two are such close competition and all. Seriously you can do whatever you like. I don't mind at all. WA and AR are plenty far enough away.
CA
Kelly,
I made it bigger for you.
