DVAGI Fusion Fundraiser- Recap
Saturday evening was the DVAGI Fusion Fundraiser. DVAGI stands for Design and Visual Arts Group Inc. and the fundraiser serves to help them send the students around the country for learning trips, classes and opportunities. This is their third year doing it and my second year participating. The auction is for design, art and chocolate. There were some amazing items like: painting, stained glass, kitchen and bath design consultations, personal wardrobe consultations, a bonzi tree (which I didn't win, but stil want one), portrait session with me, fashion makeover, etc. Basically all kinds of cool stuff.
It was a good evening and if any of you are thinking of a reason to dress up and go out next year this is a good one. The decorations were lovely, food yummy and plentiful, the art and auction items many and the entertainment fun. Also a good way to get one of my sessions at a discounted rate while donating money.
I have included some pictures from the evening.
Enjoy.

Part of the auction is the chocolate part. Hagman's donated a number of cakes including this one that I am working on eating still.
This kimono was absolutely stunning! I've asked permission to go and photograph it in detail. When I do you will see why I was so amazed.
This is the piece I donated. Photo by Ashley Artz. It is the first time I have offered my personal non-commissioned work for sale/auction. And I was so pleasantly happy to see it raise $500 for DVAGI. I also donated a couple of other things. And I love that last year I got to shoot Emerson (some of you may remember her) because her mom & dad got the session and print at last years auction. Well this year I donated that again and Emerson was the example print - guess who won. Yeah so now I get to do her one year also. I'm so excited!
Our guests:
Rog and Roxie:
The Lovely Jody:
Krisitina and Joel:
And us. Every once in a while I get a comment that is along the lines of wow nice camera I bet you get great pictures.... this sequence is to prove that it is not the camera, but the opporater.
And drum roll please the good one.
And I got to see one of my lovely 2006 brides Ashley. She took the above image of my piece as I didn't think to take one.
