This weekend’s wedding was wonderful! Now I must admit I was very very nervous. You see Andy was an usher and Ayden was a ring bearer. I kept thinking what if Andy isn’t watching Ayden and he disturbs me and I miss a shot? I would not want that too happen. As even though I know this couple they hired me and I was there to do a job and do it well.
Anyway Dustin and Candace were amazing, they opted not to see each other until the ceremony and that gave me plenty of time before hand for group and individual images. I think they gave me more time than any other couple ever. And they will be glad they did. The ceremony was emotional and short and sweet. I was up front by the mom’s for the giveaway and was able to capture some special moments. Candace left her hair down, which I don’t often see and let me tell you she looked fabulous! Dustin thought so too.
After the ceremony we did the formals in all of 18 minutes and headed out for a sparkler exit. After that I had a little alone time with the couple while the guests made their way to the reception site. Many are afraid that their guests will have to wait too long, but let me tell you this time is so nice and relaxing to have and the amount and quality of the images really show. Don’t be afraid to schedule in this time. If you have an early wedding you can even schedule some time to go out and about. Trust me the guests don’t mind, do what you want.
The reception was at theWashington Pavilion, my favorite SD reception location. Candace did all the planning and decorations herself, she is a talented florist and everything looked great. Dustin and Candace entered and led right into their first dance, I love this! The food was so good. Mmmmmm. And the rest of the night wonderful. It was a great wedding and when I finally put the camera down and joined the party that was great too.
Congratulations you two, you are going to have a wonderful life together! Thank you for picking me to be the photog and my boys to be part of your group.
