Katama (South Beach)

On another outing I traveled to Katama aka South Beach. There is a lot of public access to the beach here, but when you are driving up all you really see is the dune so I didn’t know what I was in for until I parked and walked in. To my surprise I saw breaking waves. Such a vastly different view than I was getting on the North side in Oak Bluffs. Not really knowing my directions in relationship to the rest of the world on the Vineyard I quickly realized this is the side that faces the Atlantic Ocean rather than Nantucket or Vineyard Sound. This is more of what I remember from growing up in Cali.
