2009 Presidential Inaguration

I was on my way home from travel on the day President Obama took office. My plane was delayed and instead of being in the air at the noon hour I was on the ground, across from my terminal watching it on the tele. As I was standing there a crowd started to grow. You could feel the atmosphere change, I turned around to find people of all walks of life stopping and watching and I realized I should be documenting this. Just for myself if for noone else. No matter who you voted for, this was a major event in our countries history.

Here are the images that I took. Happy Presidents Day President Obama.

Of course the TV was above the bar.

This young lady was right over my should the whole time and I loved how her expression changed at key moments.
Texting someone…

All walks of life.

It was noon and they had just announced that even though he didn’t take the oath yet, that the law states that his is our President. The lady in the middle didn’t hear the announcement as you can tell, so she was asking the other gal applauding, “Did they say it?”

noon.

The oath is completed. Hello President Obama!
