Elizabeth + Joel: Sioux Falls, SD Wedding

Elizabeth and Joel are some of the nicest people I have ever met. So kind hearted and warm to everyone. I was really looking forward to their wedding after their great engagement shoot.

I started at Homewood Suites where Liz was getting ready with all of her girls. She did so many things that helped her get great images and this was one of them. The atmosphere and the light made for a wonderful environment. Of course she had my favorite make-up artist Angelique of Platinum Imagination put on the finishing touches.

After getting ready we headed on over to the church, had some time for images downtown and then off to the reception. I’ll tell a bit more with the images.

Thank you Liz and Joel for allowing me to be part of your special day!

Liz’s dad was so happy to see his beautiful daughter.

The ceremony was held at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Sioux Falls

I love Joel just smiling as Liz walks in down the long aisle and he sees her for the first time.

A little private moment after the ceremony that I was able to capture. I can be sneaky sometimes.

We then headed out around downtown Sioux Falls for some portraits. They are so darn cute together!

Ok so I don’t normally show many speech images. Why? Because usually the bride and groom are sitting behind a head table that is a mile long with flowers, food, candles and a bottle of something in front of them. The background usually leaves something to be desired and if I stand up I’m obscuring someone’s view. Well here is a better example. Liz and Joel stood up in front of their table for two (yes a head table just for two) and from there they could stand next to the person giving the speech and be in the same image as them and not have a ton of distractions. Such a fabulous idea!

And I’ll close with one of my favorite images of the year from Liz and Joel’s first dance. You can just tell how much in love they are.
