Adrienne + Neil: Bemidji, Minnesota Wedding

O where to start… I can’t imagine someone else getting to shoot this wedding. Why because Adrienne has been a great supporter of my work and I wanted to kick butt for her. Talk about pressure, sure I feel it a bit for any wedding. But for this couple, for this lady I really felt it. She has high hopes, expectations and darn it a eye that sees a lot and I mean a lot of wedding photography. I think she’s probably seen every image I’ve posted on the blog or facebook in the last two years. I was so afraid to fail, so afraid I wouldn’t live up to her expectations.

Well she’s still talking to me so I guess I did an acceptable job.

So now their story, in the images.

Adrienne is from way up North in MN. So far we traveled in a day early so we could sleep well and be fresh for the day of shooting. I snuck over early to take some getting ready images in the cabin. I enjoy the chaos and camaraderie of getting ready time. It was a great venue for getting ready as there was plenty of room and lots of natural light. Mom was steaming a dress while the girls chatted and got their hair done in the other room.

A different view of the dress. It was a beautiful sunny day for their wedding.

Pop, candy and insulin. Just makes me smile. I know you have to know Adrienne to get it.

Just a quick portrait of the lovely bride wearing a dress with, what are those? Straps!!! And the lovely couple so happy just after seeing each other for the first time that day.

And wait are those straps on the bridesmaid dresses too? By gosh they are. O how to make your photographer happy and not tug at your dress all day.

Just a little ceremony detail.

The ceremony was done by a close friend and it was great. The moments of emotion were even better. I’m a sucker for emotion.

With the help of their family Adrienne and Neil did just about everything with out an outside vendor. Adrienne’s grandma made each of the table clothes. And her grandmother and aunt grew and arranged all of the flowers. Talk about an undertaking. I think they did a great job!

And now to our fun portrait time. How about a ballpark?

Or a field?

Or a haybail? This is one of my favorite images of the year. And to think Adrienne looked at me like I was nuts when I told her I would like her to get up on top of it. And Neil, you are the best. I love that in the images and just by being there that you can see and feel your love for your wife. Not that you aren’t already cool, but this makes you even cooler. Is that a word?

Maybe a junkyard would be nice…

Photographe Pour Mariage - Wow. This is a great idea. And it makes me wonder .even with limited experience in this field.

Sarah - I love it! You definitely captured Adrienne on her big day. The haybale shot is my favorite too!

Becky - These images captured the day and Adrienne and Neil’s “couple personality” (I just made that term up) so well. Amazing.
