Guinness will be a year old next month and it’s been a while since you have seen him on here. Here he is looking handsome today.

About 5 weeks old

Another and the last session to share with you that I photographed with the fabulous Heather of Weddings by Heather. Jackie, Justin and Lucy were so fun to be around. Heather did an amazing job on their images, the wedding ones are moving: Their engagement and their wedding. I spent most of my time with Lucy, she just won me over. So here she is and one image of mom and dad.

Last weekend was the family photography roadtrip. I packed up Guinness and Ayden and headed south after the Halloween portraits. We arrived in Omaha late and went to bed. Saturday morning we shot Leslie, Joe, Brick and Riot. Leslie and Joe are a past couple and Leslie used to play for me when I coached. Leslie is now a chiropractor and I’m so happy she has done so well and has her own practice.

He is getting big fast. When we came back from cali I couldn’t believe how much bigger he got. Here he is last week.

And yes Guinness is out of focus, but I love the two of them together

And don’t they say something about a boy and his dog? What about a grown man and his dog? This was at the last a couple of weekends ago. I woke up to find this and quickly grabbed my camera. And yes he slept with the dog and not me.

We brought Guinness home in midst of the chaos. Here are a few images from his first day with us. He is so much bigger now and everyone loves him.

Today after an all too brief weekend with the family we headed over to Lori and Sully to see our new puppy. We’ve been waiting for Lady to get prego for about a year and she finally had her litter. The poor gal has 13 pups to care for now. Andy and I went and picked out Guinness about a week and a half ago, but this time his eyes were open and we got to bring Ayden along.

Guinness is a brindle great dane pup from Lady and we are happy to welcome him into our family. I’m sure you’ll see lots of him on here just like Ayden, but just a few updates until he comes home, he has to stay under mommies care for a bit longer.

I’m out for a while until I have some down time on the vineyard. I will try to post on the road and do have some images ready for at least one post. Then when I come back it will be time to buckle down. Have a great week.

Dagwood and Maggie

So while I was away on vacation for the weekend, I only picked up the camera for a grand total of about 20 minutes max. I thought I would play more, but I didn’t. These two just had to get their image taken…. actually they really wanted the treats that were sitting right in front of where they were looking.

Hint to husband (notice this is a clear black and white hint) WE NEED TO GET A DOG!!

Prior to our wedding last Saturday we drove into Leola for a portrait session with Brenda and Derek. Brenda got hooked on my blog about a year ago and since they are already married we did an anniversary type session and brought the puppy too.

Brenda loves this old barn and got permission for use to use it. It was so cool. We could have shot the whole session there. Thanks for a great session and wonderful start to our day. Next time we are up there, we’ll be crashing at your place no Lake View Motel, he he.

I want one! Kirby was so cute and I really want one. Ayden would have loved her. We so need to get a dog now that we have the yard and house space. Andy gets to clean up the poop though.

Becky brought Kirby in for her first session, we are going to do three sessions total to document her growth. I was excited when Becky called asking if I’d do pet portraits. Of course. While we have none I still love to go and rile up others – kinda like kids. Kirby was so cute and I can’t wait to see her again for her next session.
