Ashley + Jonathan: MN Wedding Album

Tis the season to deliver albums. We will have many coming in and going out of the next few weeks. With hopes for Holiday delivery. Here is Ashley and Jonathan's album. It is our modern album. We need to get a sample of this album in the studio as it is the only one we don't have to show you. Maria and I both shot this wedding. All the reception images you see are Maria's.

The modern album has think pages and leather or other material finishes. Images are printed on photographic paper and flush mounted to the pages. It is similar to our couture album, but a bit different.

Amanda + Jed: The Album

It's finally in Amanda and Jed's Couture Album. This thing is beautiful, made by the same wonderful people as our fine art album. These are a favorite for us as well as our clients. This is however our first album of this kind to go out. We are mailing this out to them asap, but will be ordering another one just like this for the studio sample.

Laura + Chris: The Album

I love our albums from this company, they are simply stunning! Even the ladies over at CASA had to check it out when I was photographing it today. Every time we get one in from this company I'm blown away at the beauty. I think generations down the line are going to love opening this and looking at what happened on the day of their great grandparents wedding. Of course the bride and groom and family will enjoy it right now.

Each of these albums is custom designed by us, then sent off to be handmade out in California. The silk is stretched with a ribbon to accent. They recently changed the box closer to a magnet and I love it. The box is also custom made to match the album. with a ribbon inside to allow easy remove of the album.

Anyway I could gush forever. I think we need another to order for the studio (we do have one in stock now). We have a few more - a bit different on order from this company and we are excited to get them in our hands - and our clients of course.

It's nice to see our works of art, in a work of art.

Intimate/Soma Books

One for us and one for L. They turned out great!

Soma means body and since I recently found out bodyscapes is trademarked in the photography profession we won't be using it anymore (I am big on honoring others copyright, trade and service marks). So these specific sessions, which focus on the light on the body parts will be part of my Soma Essay(tm). Stay tuned as there is more to come on this topic.

I love that they selected images that would not otherwise remember. Why wouldn't they remember, well they were up at the altar and all of these insert images are their family and friends during the ceremony.

New Sample Book

One of our new sample books. This one contains many many images. With all of our other books the layouts are all custom and all images are retouched. We decided to make a new option. This book will hold up to 150 images in it's standard size, but none of the images are retouched and the layouts are all templates. The book is a clean nice design with a few customizations, but basically we are able to offer it at a much lower cost because of the template layout and the lack of post production on the images. It still looks great, but is another option to have twice as many images preserved in one nice book, great for parents and easy viewing of many images in addition to you your disk or your main album. Look in your cart for our products.

We used Elizabeth and John for this sample. Here are some images and the full layout. This is a good example also of full wedding day coverage. I think they ended up with about 8-9 hours of coverage by me. There was no second photographer at this wedding. You can see that while a second can be a great addition I am able to cover the wedding in it's entirety. Look close at the ceremony this Father did not want me to be seen, but I was still able to be sneeky and get an image variety with the proper skills and tools. The large number of portraits is do to Elizabeth and John scheduling plenty of time for us to get creative with them and the bridal party.

Intimate Book

This pretty little book came in last week. It is a replica of the one Amanda gave Jed for his wedding gift. Amanda has been so gracious as to allow us to use her images. In case anyone has been wondering we only show images from our intimate sessions by permission of our girls. Amanda has given us full permission and she has become our poster gal for intimates. She is your everyday gal and incredibly beautiful. She rocked her session.

Studio Samples

I'm a slacker. I have been photographing weddings for 3 years and I'm finally getting around to getting studio samples in. I'm always so busy that I never set aside the time to make any for ourselves. But this was a goal for this year and with the work that Kristina did before she left and Erin getting us caught up on designs we are finally in a position to get ahead.

So with Beth and Luis's wedding I designed and finally got two samples completed. One is of our designer books and the other is our Fine Art Album. I decided to use the same wedding for two albums so that you could compare the different ways to present your images. You get a completely different feel between a book and an album, neither better than the other, just different. Depending on your taste will help decide what you get. And now we have these two in the studio for you to see in person. We are working on others in hopes of having one sample of each product we offer in stock by October. We are getting closer. Come and see what we have at the Grand Opening.

Another of our Fine Art Albums, this time in 10x13 size. It has natural pages, crimson silk and cream ribbon. The binding is done with the ribbon. We love the products that we get from this company!

Folded Cards

We got more of our sample folded cards in. Erin did a good job designing them!

They come in regular folded in 5x7 and 4x6 sizes in linen and gloss finish and in a gate fold of the same. The gate fold is folded a bit short so that part of the inside is visible when the card is closed.
